RAINTOWN + Foreign Affairs – RUN WITH THE NIGHT TOUR – LIVERPOOL
24 April @ 8:00 pm:11:00 pm UTC+1
Modern life can get a little mundane and routine. A never ending barrage of, will we or won’t we Brexit chatter and of course, a new twitter-gate scandal by President Trump. Sometimes in amongst the static its easy to miss a great band when they come to town. Especially if that band is new to you.
If that is the case here. Let me say this, it’s high time that you got out and enjoyed yourself some RAINTOWN! They are one of the most electrifying live acts you will see this year and one thing is 100% guaranteed, they will never be boring or mundane.
“Modern country pop-rock band Raintown are all about the blend of not just the smooth and warm voices of husband and wife singer-songwriter team Paul Bain and Claire McArthur Bain but the blend of the individual band members – Scott MacPherson (bass), John Alexander (drums), John Mather (lead guitar), Stevie Lawrence (acoustic guitar/bouzouki) – and top-notch songs that range from romantic storytelling to melodic pop and roll with splashes of Celtic rock and bright lead guitar tones, where only a hoedown chorus or a well-placed country picking guitar lick gives their Nashville tinged influences away.” Fabrications HQ
It’s impossible not to have fun when you attend a Raintown gig. Their songs will jump right out of the speakers like partners asking you to dance, while the intoxicating riffs and lyrics will wrap you up in a journey of discovery that does not stop until the last note is sung.
Performing in Liverpool and at Studio 2 – Parr Street feels a little like a a coming home of sorts. Or at least a return to the scene of a creative retreat, where the band recorded their critically acclaimed second album, ‘Writing on the Wall.’
So go on, act now, grab your tickets for what will be a great evening of music Raintown.
